The DomainTools Report: A Profile of Malicious Domains
In the first edition of this report, we investigate the attributes of malicious domains connected to malware, spam, phishing, and botnets. Using an aggregation of blacklists and DomainTools’ data, we compared the bad actors’ preferences for TLDs, email domains, privacy providers, and hosting locations. We identified some key trends that should help to profile cybercriminal behavior.
Pick up a copy to see what we discovered. For now, here’s a preview of one of the charts from the report illustrating the volume, concentration, and proportion of malicious domains by TLD. Much more to come in the full report. Enjoy!

See you out there.
